What is body text?

Body text is the continuous, running text found on a website and, in Google’s eyes, it constitutes the site’s actual content.

It is no secret that Google prioritizes unique and well-written text. Because of this, a high-quality text has a much better chance of ranking high in search results than, for example, copied content or a short and carelessly written body text.
