LRF Media becomes a part-owner of Brath

Magnus Bråth

Yesterday, Maria and I, together with Pontus and Ann from LRF Media, signed the agreement. LRF Media is becoming a part-owner of our agency. What does that mean?

There was a fairly long personal journey leading up to that moment at a law firm in Stockholm. Maria and I had realized that we wanted to grow even faster than we already were, and that it would be difficult to do so without support. Over the years, we have received quite a few inquiries, but we have never been interested in bringing in other owners.

With LRF Media, it felt different. While they are a traditional media company, they are also forward-looking. At a time when many newspapers have struggled under the pressure of the internet, LRF Media has continued to build for the future—with new services, new ideas, and renewed momentum. Their values also differed greatly from those of our previous suitors; perhaps they are simply closer to us in how they think.

As of January, LRF Media is the largest owner in Brath, and we feel confident that this will be good for the company. Maria and I will continue pushing forward just as usual, and we have already locked in a plan to double the size of the company. Now it’s time to execute!
